Salvation Army Adopt-A-Family
Along with the Salvation Army Angel Tree Program, the Adopt-A-Family was created to address the needs of low-income families during the holidays and times of need. Each year the Salvation Army Madison Indiana receives hundreds of applications for assistance for the Adopt-A-Family program. The families who qualify for the Adopt-A-Family program are facing significant financial hardships and are often unable to afford a Christmas dinner, new toys and warm clothing for their children. Some are single parent families with very low income and some are of large Families where a parent has been laid off from their job, have major medical expenses or facing some other significant challenge.
How Can You Help?
River Valley Resources, Inc. Clearinghouse is proud to support The Salvation Army’s Adopt-A-Family program — a meaningful way to share hope and joy with local families during the holiday season.
Through this partnership, RVR will be adopting several families who are facing difficult circumstances this Christmas. The Salvation Army will provide us with each child’s ages, sizes, and wish lists, and together we will work to ensure they receive warm clothing, essential household items, and a few special gifts to brighten their holiday.
This is a wonderful opportunity for Clearinghouse partners to join us in giving back. Whether you contribute a gift, donate funds, or help wrap and organize items, your support will make a direct and heartfelt impact on families in our community.
Together, we can make the season a little brighter — one family at a time.
How the Program Works
River Valley Resources will coordinate all sponsorships and donations for the families we adopt through this program. If you would like to participate in RVR’s Adopt-A-Family sponsorship with The Salvation Army, simply email me your contact information. Once our family wish lists are available, we will follow up with details on how you can help make their holiday season special.
