History

RVR is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization that was founded in 1990 to help low-income and disadvantaged Hoosiers obtain and maintain gainful employment. Since its inception, RVR has managed over $250 million in federal, state, and local workforce development related grants and contracts. RVR is currently responsible for administering more than 1.8 million in federal Workforce Investment Act (WIA) funds in Indiana.

Programs & Services

RVR currently provides programs and services in 14 counties in Southeastern and Central Indiana. Services include: comprehensive case management, job readiness and life skills management, work experience and job placement, and job coaching and retention services. RVR is also a Child Care Development Fund (CCDF) voucher agent in 12 counties. RVR programs and services have positively impacted the lives of more than 115,000 dislocated workers, disadvantaged youth, people with disabilities, and ex-offenders.

RVR has been a WIA service provider since the act's inception in 1998,and is the only WIA service provider in Indiana and holds an international accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). RVR's CARF accreditation is the highest level possible and attests to the high quality of the organization's program, financial, and operational functions.
