Today, we proudly offer 23 programs serving 888 students across the region. JAG is a locally designed pathway aimed at helping students graduate and transition successfully into their careers. Curriculum and Skills Development: Our program is a 2-credit-hour class that focuses on developing essential employability skills. These include resume writing, mock interviews, leadership training, public speaking, financial literacy, and critical thinking. Through hands-on experience and expert guidance, students gain the confidence and tools they need to succeed in the workforce. College and Career Support: We support our students by organizing college and career fairs for all our schools, ensuring they have access to valuable resources and opportunities. Our students also benefit from college tours and visits to local industries, helping them explore various career paths and understand the education and skills required to succeed in those fields. Community Engagement: Our strong partnership with local community leaders is key to JAG's success. These professionals share their career journeys with students, serve as mentors, provide work experience opportunities, and offer internships. Additionally, they act as judges for our annual Career Development Conference, where students showcase their skills and compete in various challenges. This event is held at multiple regional venues, from Ivy Tech campuses to locations like the Fairfield Inn. If you are a student at one of our participating high schools and would like to be involved, please notify your JAG Specialists or guidance staff to enroll. Discover RVR's achievements through inspiring Success Stories of individuals who have risen to fortune, acclaim, or remarkable accomplishments. More Success Stories Wilder Oswaldo “My name is Wilder Oswaldo, a young immigrant. I came to this country knowing nothing and without any horizon, eager to learn. To overcome, to get ahead, only that there was a problem with the language until the day I arrived, I met an excellent English teacher, my current one, Tracey Montgomery, apart from being an excellent teacher, she is a super beautiful human being with the desire to teach and improve the destiny of her students. With these words, I express how I feel today and say we achieved it, my classmates together with our teacher, God bless always.” Because of his enrollment in his English class, Wilder’s vision difficulties became very apparent. Wilder worked with his family, his teacher, and his doctors to gain access to magnified vision glasses and other special equipment. With this technology, he now has increased his capacity to gain knowledge and learn even faster for a more positive and improved outcome is life and learning. My Success Story
