Through a grant from the Indiana Rural Development Council, RVR has led the development of the Southeastern Indiana Rural Regional Partnership to build leadership and partnership in 12 Indiana counties (Dearborn, Decatur, Fayette, Franklin, Jefferson, Jennings, Ohio, Ripley, Rush, Scott, Switzerland, Union).
A diverse group of individuals, ages 16 to 69, has been charged with redefining leadership and community, beginning with a series of Leadership Learning Labs. L3 presenters include nationally known leadership development professionals.
RVR was asked to submit the Leadership Learning Lab as a best practice to the Rural Indiana Strategy for Excellence, also known as RISE 2020.
Indiana Lt. Gov. Becky Skillman, who is very supportive of rural development, has met with RVR staff for updates on the Southeastern rural partnership and L3 progress.
