Scottsburg Mayor Bill Graham, former Chief Elected Official, is a satisfied customer: "I know from experience that this liability issue is very real...RVR helped our service area accomplish a tremendous financial turnaround. I wanted to devote my attention to helping our employers and our workforce. With RVR managing the money, I could do that, because I know that all of the complicated federal rules and intricate requirements were attended to with the highest level of competency and professionalism. I could relax and not worry about liability!"

ELECTED OFFICIALS - LIABILITY MANAGEMENT

The federal Workforce Investment Act (WIA) mandates that the chief/local elected officials of a region have ultimate liability for WIA funds, including any misuse of those funds.

RVR’s vast experience in fiscal management, procurement and contract administration, monitoring, management of audit requirements, and participant information systems reduces the financial risk for elected officials.

RVR staff has been managing employment and training, workforce development, welfare-to-work, and other federal funds for almost 30 years. In all that time, RVR has NEVER had a disallowed cost! That’s an exemplary track record.

Our fiscal management services are customized to elected officials’ requirements.

Protecting elected officials from liability involves more than fiscal controls. For example, RVR can (and does) develop and operate efficient and accurate participant information systems in order to properly, accurately, and in a timely manner compile, analyze, and report all required data to state and federal authorities.
