RVR’s mission is to build strong families by helping individuals meet their basic needs; prepare for, gain and keep employment at a self-sufficient wage, with benefits; assume parental responsibilities and develop personally and collectively within their family and community.

Our vision is to lead efforts to assist individuals/families in the communities we serve to become employed and ultimately achieve self-sufficiency.

River Valley Resources was founded in 1990 as a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization and is governed by a volunteer board of directors. River Valley Resources is headquartered in Madison and serves 14 Indiana counties.

RVR is the Workforce Investment Act Service Provider under contract with REACH, INC. and funded by the Workforce Region 9 Board.  Serving adult and dislocated workers residing in: Bartholomew, Dearborn, Decatur, Franklin, Jackson, Jefferson, Jennings, Ohio, Ripley, and Switzerland Co.

Clearinghouse of Jefferson County, a capital campaign to create a multi-tenant nonprofit center to serve residents of: Bartholomew, Dearborn, Decatur, Franklin, Jackson, Jefferson, Jennings, Ohio, Ripley, and Switzerland Co. Multiple public and private funders.

RURAL WORKS! Program, a poverty-to-self-sufficiency employment program funded by the Office of Faith Based and Community Initiatives and the City of Madison to serve residents of Jefferson County.

Crime Prevention Grant to provide job readiness and employment placement services funded by the Mayor’s Office, City of Indianapolis. Serving ex-offenders residing in Marion Co.

YouthWorks Indy Summer Youth Program providing GED, job readiness and work experience placements for eligible youth and young adults residing in Marion County. This program is funded by the Indianapolis Private Industry Council.

YouthWorks Indy Program providing GED, job readiness and work experience placements for eligible youth and young adults residing in Marion County. This program is a partnership between RVR and Washington Township Adult Education. The program is funded by the Indianapolis Private Industry Council.

Connected by 25 Foster Youth Program, Indianapolis Private Industry Council, (Marion Co.)

Project with Industry Grant providing employment and job placement services to persons with disabilities residing in Bartholomew, Dearborn, Decatur, Franklin, Jackson, Jefferson, Jennings, Ohio, Ripley, Scott and Switzerland Counties. This program is funded by the U.S. Department of Education.

Disability Services & Employment Program providing employment and job placement services to persons with disabilities residing in Indiana. Funded through a Purchase of Service Agreement with IN Vocational Rehabilitation.

RVR serves as the Child Care Development Fund, Voucher Agent determining eligibility and Region 11 (Clark, Floyd, Harrison, Dearborn, Jefferson, Jackson, Jennings, Ripley, Scott, Washington Co.)
