"I believe we all should keep our jobs in perspective in terms of where our work fits into the overall scheme of our lives. The American 'Work Model,' the 8-5 grind, is largely arbitrary, evolving out of an agricultural mind-set based on sunup-to-sundown rituals. When I hire somebody, I always share the value that I want each of us to look forward to coming to work. The fact that I can put quality-of-life issues, such as flexible working hours, on the table, is one of the reasons I like my job."

RVR staff is encouraged...
to learn,
to grow,
and to have fun!
 |
At a full staff symposium, we had the chance to acquire new skills for our changing workplaces while at the same time interacting with one another, meeting new members of the RVR family, and even catching a flying fish or two! |

RVR culture encourages partnerships. Staff prepared to deliver a Servant Leadership workshop with The Greenleaf Center's Marcia Newman, left.
In our newsletter, "RVR, Ink," our staff is encouraged to contribute personal news of note, as well as updates of the great things happening in each office. Our RVR family is an extended family and our staff cares for one another. That caring shows. Its one of the reasons we like to come to work.
